The History of

Clam City

Writing about the history of Clam City is a bit difficult because here, by the year 4002, we have come to discover that, well, no one thought to write our history down. We are a community, a culture, that lives in the moment so the past and the future don't interest us much. We do remember our first settlers: Fred and Alma Jean Lortger, who built the Clam City Restaurant and Bait Shop right after the state built Highway 2 along the bay. There were the years of the late 20th Century and early 21st Century when the EOTU Empire pretty much ruled everything and the Year 2297 when Clam City was first enclosed in a dome. So, we guess we do remember some history.

But the best written record of our existence is probably the piece "Of Archetypes and Arcologies" by Clam City City Librarian, Bruce Boston.
