Interstellar Delirium - Jared Hallock, Krispen Hartung

A delightful entanglement of insane free-improvisation, weird jazz, and experimental electronica. Interstellar Delirium is the musical imagery of a spaceman's last dying moments and his twisted hallucinations in the vacuum of space. -- Release Date: 2006

Krispen Hartung:  Guitar, real-time looping, computer electronics, voice, sound effects.

Jared Hallock: Electronic percussion, marimba, acoustic drums, sound effects.

In 1993, Krispen Hartung began studying the method of real-time looping, the technique of digitally recording live performance, playing it back in real-time, and repeating this processes indefinitely to produce multiple layers of interweaving and complimentary guitar parts. Since then, he has become one of the Northwest's most accomplished real-time looping artists and Idaho's leading member of the international looping community, Looper's Delight.

From jazz combos to funk bands, orchestral work to the avante garde, Jared Hallock thrives on exploring all avenues of performance art. He creates music using both traditional and non-traditional instruments. Some of his compositions include the use of cups, body percussion, spoons, electronic percussion, and anything else within reach. As a result of his eclectic explorations, Hallock has become a regular performer as a drummer, marimba player, composer, and clinician in the Pacific Northwest. He earned his degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Idaho.
