Hardwork - Candread & Rizing Rezistance

Candread and RiZing ReZistance is a Roots Reggae/World Beat Band, based in Boise, Idaho.
Candread Gadaga, the lead singer and songwriter, was born in Mozambique. His songs are the multi-lingual pleas of the voices of the down-trodden everywhere, including the destitute women and children in his native country of Mozambique. But the music isn't depressing. There is much joy in the music of Rizing ReZistance, the joy of strength rising above the world’s problems, and rejoicing in life.

Jackson Lino, drummer, from Sudan, drives the World-Beat Grooves that have been packing venues in Boise and beyond with dancing, celebrating bodies.
On bass is Shams Kadre, playing five-string fretless. He lays down heavy melodic lines in a Dub Reggae Style.
Rounding out the band is Blake Fisher on keyboard. A jazz piano virtuoso, he intertwines classic Reggae rhythms and textures with avant-garde melodic solos that drop jaws.

Candread has shared the stage with Joseph Israel of Lions of Israel fame and the politically charged Rastafarian Dr. Israel. With the ability to write and croon lyrics in four languages (English, Portuguese, Spanish and Nyanja), it’s no surprise Candread already has performed on stages in the United States, Mexico and Africa.
