DEATHTIDES
by
Tao Rae Tasmaine
Within her ivory tower
high above the plague,
Salina closes pain-filled eyes
soon dwells within a dream;
Barefoot through the vineyards
vicious brambles bite,
ivory feet stained blue
painted by the night;
The land is never-ending
its colors gnash and scream
but Death, upon his mighty steed
will wash away the dream.
