THE DIRECTORS
LARRY DENNIS, Director Larry has been directing live theater in Boise for over 10 years. This is his 17th full length production, including Last of the Red Hot Lovers and Move Over, Mrs. Markham here at Boise Little Theater. Larry has also directed for Stage Coach Theatre, Spontaneous Productions and CAN-ACT Theater.
Of all the casts & crew Ive worked with, said Larry, this one, as a group, has been the hardest working, most dedicated ever. Their complete focus on creating a perfect show has been fascinating to direct.
Larry is currently a member of Stage Coach Theatres Board of Directors and has served on the Board of Boise Little Theater and the Board of Idaho Shakespeare Festivals Guild.
Larry received his theater training at the University of Idaho.WENDY KOEPPL, Assistant Director -- Wendy has been involved with community theater since becoming a Techie at Waukesha Civic Theater in Wisconsin in 1970. She has run the gamut from ushering to props, sets, lights, costumes, stage managing and even a little acting. Since moving to Boise 11 years ago with her husband, Jim (and their 4 sons), she has worked at Stage Coach Theatre and Boise Actors Guild as well as several shows here at Boise Little Theater.
The CAST
Jerry Snodgrass as H.C. Curry When Jerry was four years old his mother sat him down in the living room while she went into the kitchen to do dishes. During the short time she was gone Jerry took out his crayons and wood-grained the living room floor. When she asked him why? he answered in his best Oklahoma drawl, Because thats the kind of floor a ranch house should have! The accumulated events of an individuals life sometime coalesce into inspired creativity. This production of The Rainmaker is one of those moments for Jerry. Cool.
Katherine Duvalis as Lizzy Curry Katherine is ecstatic to be returning to Boise Little Theater for her fourth season and feels fortunate for this opportune time to work with such a fantastic family. The labor these players have put forth is well worth the reward of the stage beneath your feet, the lights on your face and the response of the crowd. Enjoy the show!
Eric Rogge as Noah Curry Eric has been active in Boises community theaters since 1995. His last appearance at Boise Little Theater was during the 50th Anniversary Seasons production of Everybody Loves Opal. When not on stage he enjoys set construction and being a techie.
Jon Moore as Jimmy Curry This is my first performance at Boise Little Theater, or any theater for that matter. I am very excited about it and would like to thank Elizabeth Greeley and Larry Dennis for this wonderful opportunity! When not on stage I study Culinary Arts at Centennial Job Corps in Nampa.
Frederick Scott as Starbuck, the Rainmaker I hope it rains! This is one of the most enjoyable roles Ive ever had (thanks, Larry!). Ive had other roles at Boise Little Theater, including Einstein in Arsenic and Old Lace, and Louise in Play On! for which I won a Beulah Award. I would like to say to my son, Chris, This ones for you, kid!
Jeremy Swede Swedelius as Deputy File This is my fourth show at Boise Little Theater, the last being during the 50th Anniversary Season production of Everybody Loves Opal. Oddly enough, this is the third time Ive played a cop! Its great to be back on stage and with such an awesome cast. Enjoy the show!
Jay Sherlock as The Sheriff This veteran actor has been active in the Boise theater scene for years. Last season he appeared in Noises Off on the Boise Little Theater stage and in Postmortem at Stage Coach Theatre. He will follow this show with a part in The Clone People at Stage Coach. He is also active in local TV and radio productions.
