Volunteer to Work on a Show

I'm always in need of volunteer help for the shows. The most need is Production Assistant for rehearsals. This would be someone to hold book and give lines to actors, as well as fill in during rehearsals for actors who are missing. Being a PA is an excellent opportunity for young actors wanting to learn the craft.

I'm also always in need of tech crew, light and sound operators. These don't take experience to start, but do require that you not be afraid of electronic boards and computers. We are more than happy to train. And if you already have experience, so much the better.

And I'm always look for props people. These are the folks who scour second-hand stores and yard sales looking for hand props and set pieces. And sometimes props people will use their creativity to build something, such as 'cakes' made from styrofoam.

And if you have design experience in lights, sound, set or costume we should talk.

If, as sometimes it happens I don't have a position for you on one of my shows I do know enough other directors to maybe get you on somewhere else. There are about 20 theater groups in the Boise Valley which means, by my count, there are about 100 shows produced every year. So if you really want to become involved I'm sure we can get you in.
