CLAM

He pulled away from her.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"About what?" She smiled, awkwardly.
"About the last sentence you just muttered! What did you mean by that?"
"Nothing at all. Now shut up and kiss me." She tried to pull him towards her again, but he moved his naked body to the other side of the room.
"Not in the mood now. Sorry." He grabbed his boxers and pulled them on. She rushed towards him and pressed her breasts up against his chest.
"Come on! The night is young."
"Not my problem, luv. You brought it up."
"God damnit, then." She sat on the edge of the bed and pouted. Silence filled the room, their ears, and their brains. He got bored so he turned on the radio.
"Do they always have to play the Righteous Brothers?"
"Change the station then."
"Change your tone, little girl."
"God damnit, John, don't you ever call me that again."
"Michelle." John started, but never finished his thought.
"What?" He shook his head. A song came on.
"Maxwell plays the fool again." John sang with the song.
"Bang, bang Maxwell's Silver Hammer," Michelle sang out of sheer boredom.
"Rose and Valerie, screaming from the gallery, say he must go free."
"Maxwell must go free." She sang background. After the song, John went to the bathroom. He emerged with a flush a moment later. He sat next to her and put an arm around her waist. They began to kiss but didn't get very far until Michelle protested.
"John, apologize before we go any further."
"What?! You were the one who brought it up."
"So what if I frenched Sadie!" He pushed her away again.
"Well."
"Well what?"
"It's confusing as all hell. I don't know whether I should be aroused or disgusted. It's very disturbing knowing my wife has stuck her tongue down another female's throat."
"It wasn't down her throat! God damnit John. It was ten years ago. I think the cooties are gone."
"Michelle."
"What now?"
"Good night."
"God damnit," She said to the dark.
